Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Prior Authorization Clinical Pharmacist to evaluate and manage pharmaceutical use, support Drug Utilization Review (DUR), Drug Information Services (DIS), and formulary management. The role emphasizes safe, cost‑efficient medication use and collaboration with clinical teams.

This full‑time, remote position offers flexibility with in‑person onboarding sessions and adherence to hybrid/virtual work policies. Requires active pharmacist license and PBM experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 2 years managed care pharmacy experience or residency in lieu of work experience.
• Current registered pharmacist with a valid license.
• PR requirements: PR health certificate and PR Law 300 certificate if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and manages the selection and utilization of pharmaceuticals.
• Supports Drug Utilization Review (DUR), Drug Information Services (DIS) and formulary management.
• Provides clinical guidance for therapeutic interventions and dosing conversions.
• Prepares information for network physicians and participates in relevant committees.
• Acts as clinical resource for other pharmacists on DURs and related processes.
