Job summary

Monarch Money is seeking a Principal, Strategic Operations to join the Ops team and translate company strategy into clear, actionable plans. You will design operating systems, lead quarterly and annual planning, and drive cross-functional initiatives with founders and senior leaders.

You will shape decision-making, improve coordination, and build scalable processes in a fast-growing, remote-friendly environment. AI fluency is valued as you modernize operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Business Operations or similar leadership roles.
• Experience designing or scaling operating systems in a high-growth environment.
• Experience partnering with founders and senior leaders on company-wide initiatives.
• Exceptional written communication and ability to simplify complexity into decisions.
• Strong systems thinking and durable solution design.
• Ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.
• Proven ability to operate autonomously in fast-moving environments with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve Monarch's leadership operating system with planning cadences, decision-making frameworks, and operating rhythms.
• Own quarterly and annual planning, ensuring priorities, dependencies, and execution remain aligned across the company.
• Drive execution of the company's highest-priority cross-functional initiatives by improving coordination, accountability, and follow-through.
• Build and evolve the operating mechanisms, documentation, and planning artifacts that enable teams to execute effectively at scale.
• Partner closely with founders and functional leaders to identify organizational friction, improve decision-making, and continuously strengthen how Monarch operates.
