Job summary

Monarch is seeking a Principal, Procurement to join our Finance team during a period of rapid growth. Reporting to the Head of Operations and Finance, you will own and mature our procurement program, lead strategic sourcing and negotiations, and build a proactive approach to vendor and technology spend management.

This senior individual-contributor role partners with Finance, Engineering, Legal, Security, IT, People, and business leaders to optimize purchasing decisions, improve vendor

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in procurement and related fields.
• Experience in high-growth tech, ideally SaaS/fintech.
• Hands-on with procurement platforms (Zip) and workflow tools.
• Ability to translate spend data into commercial decisions.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve procurement process across the company.
• Lead strategic sourcing and vendor negotiations.
• Build vendor management with contracts, spend, renewals, and utilization.
• Improve SaaS, cloud, data, AI spend economics.
• Drive adoption through policies and AI-enabled automation.
