Job summary

EHS Support is seeking a Principal Scientist to lead the Ecological Services practice within the Sediment and Risk Assessment Service Line. This remote role focuses on growing our ecological services portfolio, building client relationships, and delivering high-quality risk assessments for CERCLA, RCRA, and NRDA programs.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of environmental consulting experience in ecological services and ecological risk assessment.
• Strong team building and business development experience.
• Strong leadership and management skills with mentoring and career development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of regulations and guidance for remedial investigation and risk assessment under state and federal programs (e.g., RCRA, CERCLA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and growth of the Ecological Services practice area within SRA, generating new business opportunities and fostering client relationships.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Support NRDA services, including injury assessment and restoration planning.
• Design and implement long-term ecological risk assessment programs and QA processes.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical advisement to the team.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and participate in conferences and working groups to enhance service offerings.
