Job summary

Octave is hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead the Tempo Operations Management product team. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, shape the vision from market insights, and collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support to deliver a market-leading operations management solution.

You will engage customers, guide AI-enabled innovation, and drive business outcomes across win rates and revenue.

Qualifications

• 10 years in frontline operational roles OR 3 years in an operational leadership role in an industrial facility
• Engineering degree in Chemical engineering, process engineering or process safety OR equivalent industrial experience
• Experience of industrial regulations, regulatory frameworks and recommended practices around Process safety management, Control of work, Management of change and Critical communications
• Strong business analysis skills – requirements gathering, documentation (requirements and technical), process mapping, etc.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and leadership skills
• Previous product management experience or product owner roles for industrial technology considered a plus
• Familiarity with cloud-based deployment models and subscription-based entitlement models
• Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques including machine learning, automated text classification and large language models
• Experience managing multiple product solutions within broader solution portfolio
• Familiarity with The Pragmatic Framework for product management (preferably certified) or similar product management frameworks
• Familiarity with AI tools especially Claude and Copilot

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring engineering efforts are aligned with strategic market outcomes
• Plan and own the product roadmap and support the release plan
• Define and champion the product vision and roadmap from market insights
• Provide cross functional leadership across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support
• Measure product performance and drive improvement programs for usage, UX, and costs
• Drive business outcomes like win rates, pipeline, and revenue growth
• Engage with engineering to address market problems with delivered capabilities
• Ensure product meets quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage User forums and strategic steering board accountability and customer feedback loops
• Guide enhancement requests and feature ramp-ups to drive continuous innovation
• Research AI approaches to advance product initiatives
• Provide SME support to sales and enablement; help create marketing materials
• Lead customer webinars and external presentations and ally with analysts for market movement
