Job summary

RTX Corporation seeks a Principal Specialist in Procurement for a Remote U.S. role. You will manage procurement activities to support programs, ensuring compliance and delivering value. You will lead negotiations, develop strategies with cross-functional teams, and act as a key contact for stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience (or higher with 3+ years) and U.S. citizenship or export eligibility. Remote work is permitted with potential site travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree with three+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience reading drawing specifications.
• Experience with cost/price analysis and developing negotiation strategies.
• FAR/DFAR regulatory experience.
• U.S. Person or eligible for export authorizations under applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and administer various subcontract types (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursement, Time and Materials) for production and R&D.
• Collaborate with material program management and engineering to define procurement strategies.
• Monitor subcontractor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and manage subcontract documentation in compliance with policies, FAR and DFAR.
• Analyze supply chain challenges and develop value-driven procurement solutions.
• Plan and execute procurement tasks independently to meet program requirements.
