Job summary

Mercury Technologies, Inc. is seeking a procurement lead to own intake, deal execution, and onboarding, shaping procurement processes as the company scales toward charter readiness.

You will negotiate end-to-end, manage P2P tools, maintain vendor data, and partner with Finance, Legal, Security, and Compliance to keep cycles fast and compliant. This role offers visibility across teams and data dashboards on spend and renewals, with impact on Mercury's fintech scale.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, P2P operations, or related finance/ops role.
• Hands-on experience with P2P or procurement systems such as Zip, Coupa, Ariba, or similar tools.
• Track record of independently leading negotiations with meaningful commercial outcomes.
• Experience building or materially improving procurement processes.
• Experience in vendor risk, compliance, or third‑party review processes.
• Experience running workflows from intake to execution and close.
• Strong operational judgment, attention to detail, and bias to action.
• Comfort working cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work with data and build simple dashboards to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement intake and deal execution from request through contract signature and supplier onboarding.
• Design and improve procurement processes, policies, and controls toward bank charter readiness.
• Lead contract negotiations end to end, including pricing discussions and vendor communications.
• Operate and administer P2P and procurement tools, ensuring workflows and integrations work as intended.
• Maintain clean procurement and vendor data across intake, approvals, renewals, and systems.
• Manage day-to-day vendor portfolio operations including records, renewals, pricing changes, SLAs, and performance tracking.
• Serve as operational point of contact for Accounts Payable, Legal, Security, and Compliance on procurement matters.
• Monitor cycle times and bottlenecks, driving process and tooling improvements.
