Job summary

PTC is seeking a Principal PLM Architect to lead PLM system transformations with a strong emphasis on Windchill. You will serve as a trusted advisor guiding clients through complex architectures and ensuring successful delivery of PLM solutions aligned with business goals.

This role blends technical leadership with consulting, solution architecture, and stakeholder collaboration across engineering, R&D, and implementation partners to design scalable PLM architectures for enterprise needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• 7–12 years of experience in consulting, implementing, deploying, or supporting PLM systems, with a strong focus on PTC Windchill.
• Proven ability to architect enterprise PLM solutions, including process-centric deployments and application design.
• Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and enterprise application frameworks.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and executive levels.

Responsibilities

• Engage with client business stakeholders across domains to elicit and translate use cases into PLM designs.
• Lead design, implementation, and validation of PLM solutions in Windchill environments.
• Represent the design team in governance activities with risk assessment and recommendations.
• Collaborate with R&D, PLM Segment, SaaS BDMs, and partners to ensure scalable architectures.
• Mentor project teams and contribute to enablement materials and best practices.
• Support data migration, configuration, and integration using Windchill technologies (Java, JSP, XML, Ant).
