Raymond Search Group is assisting a client in the critical services sector to hire a Principal Software Engineer – Remote USA. You will own a mature B2B platform, audit what’s there, fix bottlenecks, and drive the next generation while mentoring the backend team.

This builder’s role requires setting direction, ensuring security and data protection, and delivering a polished product that users love; strong communication with both engineers and non-engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 7–8 years of design and product development in a true B2B setting.
• Fluency in C#, .NET, Node, and MS SQL Server.
• Front-end depth in React or Vue, TypeScript, and Bootstrap.
• REST and GraphQL, PostgreSQL patterns, NoSQL, Linux backend environments.
• Serverless AWS and demonstrated CI/CD expertise.
• Real UI/UX instincts; product quality matters as much as function.
• Able to communicate with engineers and non-engineers with credibility.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architectural direction for the platform.
• Audit existing design and implement improvements at scale.
• Lead backend engineers building scalable services.
• Ensure security, data protection, and compliance baked in.
• Translate cross-functional needs into robust system designs.
