Job summary

Blueprint Technologies, LLC is seeking a Principal Engineering Lead to establish engineering operating standards across a federal healthcare delivery program. You will drive secure, reliable delivery by shaping CI/CD, release governance, and reliability practices at scale.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, security, platform, operations, and program leaders to align on standards and drive continuous improvement. Remote role with occasional Baltimore onsite.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering operations, platform engineering, SRE, DevSecOps, or large-scale software delivery.
• Experience establishing engineering standards across multiple teams or workstreams.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, release governance, and production operations.
• Experience defining or managing SLAs/SLOs, operational readiness criteria, and reliability practices.
• Experience integrating security and compliance into engineering and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead engineering operations standards across teams and delivery workstreams.
• Establish CI/CD and release governance practices to support secure, reliable delivery.
• Develop a consistent framework for SLAs and SLIs.
• Define operational readiness criteria for new services, releases, and major changes.
• Advance DevSecOps by integrating security, quality, automation, and controls throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Set reliability expectations and guide teams to improve performance, resilience, observability, and recoverability.
• Coordinate engineering standards across application, platform, security, and operations teams.
• Identify systemic delivery and reliability risks and lead cross-team resolutions.
• Use metrics to evaluate performance, identify trends, and drive improvements.
• Communicate engineering standards, decisions, risks, and progress to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Participate in proposal-related oral presentations as required.
