Job summary
Eliassen Group is seeking a hands-on Principal Engineer to shape the onboarding platform, drive architectural decisions, and lead AI-powered initiatives. You will work remotely on a contract-to-hire basis, writing production code daily while guiding strategic technical direction and collaborating with product, engineering, and sales teams.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of SaaS experience, strong cloud-native architecture skills, and expertise in Go, React, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Leadership roles such as Staff/Principal/Lead Engineer
- Strong architectural design in cloud-native environments
- Ability to influence technical direction across teams
Responsibilities
- Define and drive architectural direction across the platform
- Make strategic technical decisions impacting scalability, reliability, security, and product innovation
- Guide platform evolution balancing speed and maintainability
- Write production code daily and contribute to feature development
- Design, build, and support scalable SaaS applications
- Lead implementation for complex customer and platform initiatives
- Participate in design and code reviews and mentor engineers
- Develop proofs of concept for customer-facing AI use cases
- Define and implement AI strategy and capabilities using modern LLM architectures
