Axonius, a leading AI-first cyber asset intelligence company, seeks a Principal Data Engineer to architect scalable data platforms and drive enterprise AI initiatives. You will lead data engineering across GTM, Product, CX, Finance, and more, shaping standards, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud architecture with leadership
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for automation and orchestration
• Terraform for provisioning production-grade cloud environments
• Experience designing real-time streaming topologies and API-driven connectors

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the technical architecture strategy for ETL/ELT pipelines and IaC deployments
• Serve as principal technical authority for data engineering standards and review practices
• Architect and deploy autonomous AI agents integrated into the data stack
• Assess high-risk architectural challenges across multiple domains and guide DW design and data lake scalability
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and Product teams on governance, RBAC, and PII masking
• Implement automated data pipeline monitoring and cleansing at ingestion tier
• Partner with Analytics Engineering to ensure production repositories’ stability and performance
