Job summary

ZoomInfo is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to define and evolve the architecture, standards, and operating model for the enterprise data platform. You will lead data ingestion, storage, transformation, governance, and consumption with a strong focus on reliability and scalability.

With 10+ years in engineering and 5+ years building large-scale data platforms, you will mentor teams, drive architectural decisions, and partner across analytics, security, and product to deliver trusted data at

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years designing and operating large-scale data platforms or data products.
Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one general-purpose language (Python/Java/Scala).
Experience with data architecture like lakehouse/warehouse, batch and streaming processing.

Responsibilities

Own the technical vision and architecture for scalable data platforms.
Design end-to-end data systems spanning ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
Lead architecture reviews and drive implementation direction across teams.
Develop and enforce data contracts, governance, and security practices.
Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across the org.
