Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer to optimize upstream dairy processes, including blending, heat treatment, filtration and sanitation. You will partner with Operations, QA, Maintenance, Reliability, Controls/Capital Engineering, and Supply Chain to drive continuous improvement and ensure product quality.

This role offers a 100% remote work schedule and significant cross-functional impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Process preferred). Masters degree a plus.
• 10+ years technical experience with aseptic processing and heat treatment, filtration and separation, blending, CIP, heat transfer and fluid mechanics in dairy industry preferred.
• Professional Engineer license is a plus.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, QMS, FDA, USDA).
• Strong understanding of process safety, safe design & hazard assessments (OSHA, HAZOP, LOPA) and ability to perform FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert in fluid-related process engineering for upstream dairy processes and lead optimization.
• Mentor and train process engineers in tools, methodologies, and safety culture.
• Evaluate existing processes and identify improvements in efficiency, yield, and bottlenecks.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure cost-effective high-quality production.
• Develop and install new equipment or modifications from concept to commissioning.
• Perform process capability studies and data-driven optimization.
• Maintain documentation including P&IDs, CCPs, SOPs, and equipment specs.
