Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Principal Consultant for Safety Management Systems to lead and advance SMS programs for clients in North America. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, align projects with API RP 1173, ANSI Z10, and ISO 45001, and mentor staff on code compliance while identifying new business opportunities.

The role is remote with occasional travel for fieldwork or client meetings, coordinating with Project Managers and business leaders to deliver practical, compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in scientific, technology, and/or engineering.
• 10+ years of work experience, 5+ years at a natural gas, liquid pipeline, or electric utility. 8+ years at a company or engineering consulting firm in a high risk, high reliability organization (nuclear energy, electrical or gas utilities).
• Collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and staff members.
• Technical or leadership expertise (expert level) related to one or more disciplines.
• Valid driver’s license for required travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead diverse projects, applying broad engineering expertise to solve complex challenges.
• Guide consulting teams, offering technical and organizational direction with Project Managers and Business Unit Leaders to improve processes.
• Ensure compliance and best practices across the board with industry standards (API RP 1173, ANSI Z10, ISO 45001).
• Mentor and train team members on SMS and code compliance, drive quality control and change management systems.
• Identify new business opportunities and collaborate across units to build project teams for clients.
