Job summary

U.S. Financial Technology is seeking a Principal, Cloud Solutions Architect for a full-time remote role. You will lead hands-on development across the cloud stack and set strategic architecture decisions for a securitized mortgage platform.

You will interface with clients and leadership to ensure scalable, secure solutions and high engineering standards. Responsibilities include API design, AWS serverless architectures, IaC with AWS CDK/SAM, and governance across AI and technology risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences.
• Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end by designing and implementing APIs, data models, and communication protocols.
• Ensure application security, performance, uptime, and scale through sound cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Evaluate complex technology issues spanning cloud infrastructure, resiliency, performance, vulnerability management, technology lifecycle, observability, automation and emerging technologies.
• Drive modernization of Technology Governance through automation, data analytics and AI, including opportunities to automate control evidence, compliance monitoring, technology-risk identification, management reporting and governance workflows.
• Partner with Technology and Risk stakeholders to establish pragmatic governance approaches for emerging technologies, including AI, ensuring controls and oversight remain risk-based, scalable and appropriate to the underlying use case.
• Maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
• Drive strategic technical direction and architecture decisions for the platform.
• Lead technical design discussions and establish engineering best practices.
