Job summary

UNFI seeking a Pricing Analyst to strategically analyze pricing data and provide retail price suggestions to retailers, aiming to grow profits for our customers. You will evaluate retail data, make pricing recommendations for new and current items, identify discrepancies, and create solutions to pricing issues.

You will review large data sets, develop pricing scenarios, input category strategies into the pricing system, and create analyses and reports for account managers and pricing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and other office suite products.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Extract data from databases to develop and review customer pricing models for assigned categories.
• Maintains the category and marketplace review schedule for assigned divisions and schedules reviews (weekly).
• Develops planning scenarios for approval by category managers. Monitors performance of key items compared to forecasted results.
• Inputs category roles, item strategies, financial objectives, and price images into the pricing system.
• Create analysis/reports for retailers, account managers, and pricing managers.
• First point of contact for incoming retail calls and troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Review system generated cost changes for accuracy and alignment, and review new items based on marketplace competition.
• Ability to review and analyze large, complex data sets to execute pricing strategies that directly impact a retailer's profitability.
