Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent plus 3+ years’ premium audits experience.
• Prior premium audit experience and basic knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping and insurance company operations are required.
• Test audit state experience required.
• Knowledge of manual rules for workers’ compensation, general liability, garage and commercial auto.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• It is expected that the employee will correspond with insureds in a remote/virtual environment. Communicate effectively via teleconference.

Responsibilities

• Reviews information obtained through the administrative process and requests any additional information.
• Schedules time with insured to review information and conduct audits via phone and online conference.
• Inputs a summary of audit information in Premium Audit Tracking System (PATS).
• Performs payroll-based and composite exposure audits.
• Has a strong understanding of ISO and NCCI rules for proper classification and exposure development.
• Refers highly complex issues to Premium Audit Supervisor.
• Works across a larger span of geographical territory with state-specific rules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
