Job summary

Beacon is seeking an Associate Premium Auditor to verify payroll records and exposures, ensuring policies reflect true earned premiums. You’ll audit low- to moderate-complexity accounts, support underwriters, and communicate audit requirements to customers and agents from our Warwick, RI office.

You will research classifications, document analyses, and contribute to team processes, with a focus on accuracy and customer service. This role may include hybrid scheduling and remote options.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Basic analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to learn auditing principles and workers’ compensation classifications.
• Customer-focused, collaborative mindset and openness to change and new initiatives.
• Experience in customer service, payroll, accounting, insurance, or administrative roles.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer audits across a broad range of customers and industries, accurately classifying businesses and employees for workers’ compensation.
• Research and prepare for audits using resources such as customer websites, coverage information, NCCI, Secretary of State, and DLT websites.
• Review classifications, verify class codes, officer coverage, and claim classifications, and communicate potential class code changes to underwriters.
• Document audit analysis and decisions to support compliance with Premium Audit policies, DBR filings, and QA standards.
• Deliver customer-centric service by explaining audit processes, responding to inquiries, and building relationships with customers, agents, and underwriters.
• Support the Premium Audit team by processing voided audits, uploading payroll reports, assisting with reconciliations, and generating monthly invoices.
