Job summary

BaxEnergy in Italy is seeking a QA & Validation Engineer – Power Systems to ensure that CPPC Tiers releases are thoroughly validated, reproducible, and ready for certification before General Availability. You’ll prove that the system behaves correctly under grid and failure conditions, collaborating with control, software, and power engineers.

This role is fully remote and open to contractors or on-site employees depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience testing industrial control systems or power systems software.
• Working knowledge of power system dynamics and grid behavior.
• Hands‑on experience with HIL setups and simulation tools at an operational level.
• Strong documentation skills and discipline — you know how to produce certifiable evidence.
• Able to work with globally distributed teams, with at least a 4-hour overlap with CET/CEST.
• Eligible to obtain a visa and able to travel to Italy within three months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Define functional, integration and dynamic test plans for CPPC Tiers releases.
• Execute HIL and grid-simulation tests to validate control behavior under realistic scenarios.
• Perform structured regression testing across software and control releases.
• Generate clear auditable validation, supporting grid-code compliance.
• Support FAT, SAT, and acceptance criteria definition with customers, EPCs, and grid operators.
• Identify gaps, edge cases, and regressions early and drive them to resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes and test methodologies.
