Job summary

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Software Developer (Microsoft Power Platform) to design and maintain low-code solutions for the VA OAA Data Management Center. You will build Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Power BI reports, and SharePoint integrations while ensuring governance and security compliance.

The role requires 4+ years of Power Platform experience, a Bachelor’s degree in IT or CS, and the ability to obtain a federal Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; no equivalencies accepted
• 4+ years of experience developing solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform
• Proven experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
• Experience with SQL databases and SharePoint integration

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform within the VAEC framework
• Support the DMC portfolio of Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Power BI reports, and SharePoint integrations
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards using existing Power BI Service licenses, deployed Report Server, gateway, and designated workspace
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with SQL databases, SharePoint, and custom .NET applications
• Maintain and support the DMC SharePoint environment and public-facing OAA website components
• Ensure Power Platform solutions comply with VA governance, security, and active umbrella ATO requirements (FIPS 199 Moderate)
• Support user testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of low-code solutions
• Document application logic, workflows, and data dependencies
