Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Developer to support workflow enhancement, automation, data analytics, and dashboards for ICE. The role is fully remote and requires strong Power Apps/Power BI expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and integrate Power Platform solutions, align data with dashboards, and document technical designs to enable real-time metrics for mission leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required and 8 or more years of experience; commensurate experience may substitute.
  • 5+ years of Microsoft experience.
  • Familiarity with business process analysis and identifying productivity improvements.
  • Experience building and managing Power Apps applications including forms/workflows and integration with Microsoft tools.
  • Experience with Power BI report creation and dashboard design.
  • Background in problem-solving for scalable Power Platform solutions.
  • Power Apps development: designing, developing, and troubleshooting Power Apps with data sources like SharePoint/Excel.
  • Power BI development: creating reports and dashboards for insights.
  • Business process improvement: optimizing workflows using Power Platform.
  • Data integration: merging data from multiple sources into Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Technical documentation: documenting designs, solutions, and processes clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement custom Power Apps solutions to streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map workflows and identify Power Platform enhancements.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into Power Apps solutions with integrated Power Platform tools.
  • Develop and manage Power BI dashboards and reports for KPIs and metrics.
  • Provide recommendations for automation and data management across the organization using Power Platform.
  • Document technical specifications and solution designs for Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform best practices and tools.
  • Collaborate with business, scrum teams, and project managers for timely responses to requests.
  • Provide data management to enable analytics across Oracle, Databricks, AWS, and ServiceNow.
  • Align data with Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik dashboards.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend feasible data system solutions.
  • Create project deliverables to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Use source data to assess project effectiveness and business processes.
  • Work with teams to adapt to changing requirements and deliver expedient solutions.
  • Enable end-user visibility of data and metrics via dashboards and dissemination.
  • Translate complex data issues into clear leadership-ready insights.
