Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking experienced Power Distribution and Make Ready Designers to support overhead distribution projects for major utilities. The role focuses on pole design, NESC compliance, clearance analysis, pole loading, and construction-ready packages.

Remote work is available with orientation at Perrysburg, OH. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in make-ready or distribution design and proficiency with CAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in make-ready engineering, joint-use design, or electric power distribution design (3+ years preferred).
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation; experience with DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Review field/walkout data and evaluate attachment conditions.
• Model pole loading and determine make-ready requirements.
• Prepare construction-ready design packages and facilitate joint-use designs.
• Collaborate with teammates to resolve design challenges and ensure quality deliverables.
• Perform permitting and easement research; ensure compliance with NESC.
