Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments. The role focuses on installing, configuring, and optimizing BI software, including ETL and data management systems, in a fully remote setup within the United States.

The ideal candidate will design dashboards, build data models, manage data sources, and drive performance improvements across DW/BI platforms while partnering with analysts and leadership to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with extensive Power BI experience.
• Ability to design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Experience building data models with Power Query and DAX.
• Experience connecting Power BI to SQL Server, Oracle, Excel and cloud data sources.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues in reports and data models.
• Collaborate with analysts and leadership to meet reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc PBI Reports.
• Conducts PBI Training (Instructor-led Class Development, Delivery).
• Installs and configures DW/BI software to meet customer needs in accordance with enterprise architecture.
• Continuously tunes environment to optimize performance of DW/BI software.
• Designs, implements, and updates user management solutions for access control.
• Evaluates vendor software updates to plan and implement patches.
• Makes recommendations for changes to software and hardware configurations to improve performance.
• Ensures smooth operations of DW/BI software through continuous monitoring and patching.
• Supports user administration for role-based security.
• Performs upgrades to incorporate new features and enhance security.
