Job summary

Emory University’s Collins Lab is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to investigate key topics in translational arbovirology, including flavivirus immune interactions, vaccine development, applied epidemiology, and clinical trials.

The fellow will lead projects focusing on human antibody responses elicited by infection and/or vaccination, leveraging unique human sample sets and ongoing studies with international partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in an appropriate field with strong writing skills.
• Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication.
• Ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Designs and conducts research under mentorship to enhance professional skills and independence.
• Leads projects on translational arbovirology including immune interactions and vaccine development.
• Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under PI supervision.
• May operate lab equipment and mentor junior staff.
• Roles are temporary appointments as a research trainee; initial one-year appointment with renewal possible.
