Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking an AI Language Expert — Portuguese (AI Training) to remotely support language evaluation for AI tutoring models.

You will assess accuracy and naturalness of Portuguese content, provide structured feedback, and help refine learner materials across CEFR levels. This hourly contract requires a minimum 15 hours per week and operates fully asynchronously.

Ideal candidates are native Portuguese speakers with teaching or evaluation experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese.
• Experience teaching Portuguese or evaluating learner language.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2).
• Familiar with CEFR frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Portuguese speech and text for accuracy.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and gaps in pedagogy.
• Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Suggest improvements for natural, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate Portuguese.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.
