Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Data Annotation Specialist with native Portuguese writing skills and strong English, to join as a part-time independent contractor. You will label, rank, and audit language data, primarily in Portuguese, and collaborate across teams.

This role is remote within Canada, with a minimum of 16 hours per week at 30 CAD/hour. You will participate in a virtual test, complete writing tasks, and contribute to data quality improvements for ongoing AI model development.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Portuguese, excellent English.
• Ability to prove writing skill via test.
• Familiarity with JSON/TSV/CSV/Markdown data manipulation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Label and Rank: accurately label and rank data in Portuguese.
• Audit and Correct: rectify language data inaccuracies.
• Reading and Text-Based Tasks: complete reading and text tasks with high attention to detail.
• Preference-Based Tasks: assess responses in Portuguese that fit guidelines.
• Recommend Optimizations: suggest ways to improve data quality and model performance in Portuguese.
• Provide Feedback: communicate with cross-functional teams on Portuguese matters.
