Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Port Technician to work remotely within 1 hour of an airport in the United States. This position requires extensive travel across the Americas (95-100%), servicing cranes and lifting equipment.

A company vehicle is provided to support field assignments. Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology and at least 1 year of mechanical troubleshooting experience.

Qualifications

• Education: two-year associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field.
• Experience: minimum one year of mechanical/industrial troubleshooting and repair.
• Safety: this is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance and inspections on cranes and related equipment at customer locations.
• Conduct on-site mechanical troubleshooting to identify causes and repairs.
• Complete daily paperwork and log quotes and actions for customers.
• Maintain tools, inventory, and vehicle to company standards.
• Communicate regularly with local office and service supervisor.
