Job summary

Blue Rose Research in Washington, DC is seeking a Communications and Political Associate to turn research into clear, client-facing materials under senior guidance. This early-career role emphasizes drafting, research, and coordination with campaigns, offices, and partners.

You will craft talking points, memos, and briefing materials; monitor media coverage for timely messaging opportunities; and support outreach and briefings with Democratic campaigns and advocacy groups.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Democratic politics, campaigns, legislative offices, or progressive advocacy.
• Ability to turn research into clear talking points, memos, and briefing materials.
• Coordinate meetings and materials with political staff, clients, and media contacts under guidance from senior staff.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to helping Democrats win using research to inform political decisions.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit client-facing memos, presentations, and briefing materials.
• Draft talking points and briefing materials for press appearances with leadership review.
• Monitor news to identify polling opportunities and message testing opportunities.
• Prepare research summaries for briefings with campaigns, elected officials, advocacy groups, and partners.
• Collect talking points and social media content for message testing.
