Job summary

FWI (FedWriters, Inc.) is seeking a Policy/Research Analyst to support the USFS ORMS and USDA mission, providing analytical and advisory services to improve operational efficiency, correspondence processing, and enterprise readiness. The role involves coordinating with government and congressional staff and drafting reports and technical documentation.

The position is remote, full-time, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, and requires a Bachelor’s degree plus several years of policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of program/policy analyst experience.
• Minimum 2 years using federal correspondence management systems.

Responsibilities

• Optimize business tools and support executive decision making.
• Map internal documents to program activities.
• Draft business case analyses and recommendations.
• Prepare monthly status and annual reports, briefs, SOPs.
• Assess impact of new legislation and recommend improvements.
• Analyze initiatives and help formulate programs and policies.
• Prepare reports, analyses, briefings, memoranda, and docs.
• Provide research and technical support including literature review and data work.
• Review and compile data and related research.
