Job summary

Defense Unicorns is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Navy Delivery team, merging DevOps with platform security. You will influence architecture, guide engineers, and help advance secure, scalable deployments across cloud-native environments.

The role requires strong Linux knowledge, IaC experience (Terraform/Pulumi), and a track record with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GitOps in a remote US-based setting. A DoD-focused background and security clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps and cloud-native tools.
• Experience with security automation and cloud security practices.
• Ability to design and implement IaC and maintain secure deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Bridge applications and platform teams, promoting best practices.
• Lead multiple tech domains across full-stack, CI/CD, and cloud deployments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to strategic tech vision.
