Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a world-leading technology organization in the United States. This remote role focuses on building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and developer platforms that support modern application deployments.

An ideal candidate has strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Linux, and Infrastructure as Code, and will help create self-service tooling, automate operations, and improve developer experience across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Linux administration in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with distributed systems, networking, and infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud-native platform infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes and AWS services.
• Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions to streamline provisioning and platform operations.
• Create and enhance self-service tools and platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to deploy applications efficiently.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to establish deployment standards and operational best practices.
