Job summary

Tempo is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer to build and scale our production stack. You will ensure the engineering team can ship quickly and reliably, from bare metal to cloud, in a high-stakes crypto environment.

You will optimize Kubernetes, IaC workflows, monitoring, and security, and help onboard large enterprises into crypto by educating validators. Join a fast-moving team advancing real-world payments on the blockchain frontier.

Qualifications

• Maintaining and scaling bare metal servers and clouds for production systems.
• Production Kubernetes experience essential.
• IaC tools: Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD in deployment workflows.
• Monitoring/observability setup with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Linux networking and troubleshooting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the infrastructure enabling the engineering team to ship quickly and effectively.
• Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the devops process for optimal velocity.
• Maintaining Tempo chain reliability, validator infrastructure, explorer reliability and more.
• Improve Tempo core developer experience.
• Help onboard the largest enterprises into crypto; educate and support validators.
• Work at the frontier of crypto performance.
