Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience as a Plans Examiner in Florida.
• Valid Florida Plans Examiner License: RPX or PX.
• Valid Florida driver's license; ability to travel within jurisdiction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with inspection software and digital reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans for compliance with the Florida Building Code and local regulations.
• Evaluate plans across Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Energy, and Accessibility.
• Identify deficiencies and provide corrective guidance to architects and contractors.
• Maintain documentation of plan reviews and correspondence.
• Coordinate plan reviews with fire, zoning, utilities, and environmental teams.
• Stay current with FBC updates and legislative changes.
