Job summary
Public Agency Resources (PARS) is seeking a remote full-time Plans Examiner to join our Florida team, serving Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, or Gainesville. You will review plans for compliance with the Florida Building Code, coordinate with fire, zoning, and utilities, and guide applicants with clear code references.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Plans Examiner experience in Florida
- Florida Plans Examiner License RPX or PX required
- Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to travel within the jurisdiction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with inspection software and digital reporting systems
Responsibilities
- Review plans for compliance with the Florida Building Code and local regulations
- Evaluate plans across Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Energy, and Accessibility
- Provide clear code references and guidance to applicants
- Coordinate plan reviews with fire, zoning, utilities, environmental and health agencies
- Maintain documentation of plan review notes, approvals, corrections and correspondence
- Track timelines for Florida Statute requirements and approvals
- Stay current with FBC updates and industry standards
