Job summary

Learner Education is seeking a Physics Tutor on a contract basis. This remote role offers flexible scheduling and the ability to set your own hours, with pay at $25 per hour. The tutor may also teach other science subjects and Math, expanding schedule opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of teaching or tutoring experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and solid online tutoring exposure in the U.S. curriculum. A quiet home workspace and reliable internet are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.
• At least 1 year of U.S. teaching or tutoring experience.
• Must have taught or tutored within the past 2 years.
• At least 1 year of online tutoring experience.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards.
• Strong subject matter expertise in Physics and ability to tutor other Science subjects.
• Ability to tutor science from 6th grade to college level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability during peak hours (Mon–Thu 3–10 PM ET) is preferred.
• Stable internet; quiet, professional home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Tutor Physics to students from middle school through college level.
• Support Chemistry and other science subjects when needed.
• Math tutoring is a major plus to increase schedule availability.
• Provide clear explanations and adapt to student needs.
