YO AI Labs is seeking established Physics Professors and Principal Investigators to provide high-level scientific expertise for a project advancing next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will adjudicate contested physics arguments, assess technical reasoning, and deliver defensible judgments on complex questions.

The ideal candidate has a strong record of independent research and scientific leadership.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Physics with demonstrated scholarly impact.
• Experience leading independent research and teams.
• Proficiency with LaTeX, SymPy, Python, and Jupyter.

Aufgaben

• Adjudicate contested physics arguments and interpretations.
• Compare approaches and explain strengths under assumptions.
• Identify meta-level criteria for evaluating robustness.
• Assess assumptions, limitations, failure modes, and breaking points.
• Provide calibrated expert judgments on unresolved questions.
• Draft rigorous, defensible written evaluations for senior physicists.
• Use LaTeX, SymPy, Python, and Jupyter to verify claims when appropriate.
• Explain unresolved questions and relevant scientific considerations.
• Contribute domain reasoning to AI model training and evaluation.
