Job summary

We are Sovrano AI, offering fully remote, project-based work for physicists to test frontier AI against real physics problems. You’ll create tasks from your own experience, run them through frontier models, and judge correctness with industry standards. Pay is $40–$125 per hour, with a minimum of 10 hours per week for independent contractors.

Some projects involve coding. You’ll set your own schedule, and successful candidates are paid for completed stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in physics or a related field.
• 2+ years of applied physics experience preferred.
• Proficient written English.
• Available at least 10 hours per week.
• PayPal account required for payment.
• Willing to work without LLM assistance where the project does not permit it.
• Use one email address to sign up, take the assessment, and get paid.

Responsibilities

• Build realistic tasks out of problems from your own physics work, along with the material needed to solve them.
• Give those tasks to frontier AI models and judge the results against the standard of your profession.
• Weigh paired model answers against each other and explain which one holds up.
• Write grading rubrics for your tasks and set out your reasoning in writing.
• Review and improve tasks written by other experts
