Position is full-time with a day shift. Candidates will work in a hospital/office EMR environment, entering charges, demographics, and insurance data accurately and collaborating with the coding team

Responsabilidades

• Edits and reviews captured charges and medical documentation to determine codes and modifiers for services in office/hospital settings.
• Reviews outpatient/inpatient procedure reports; abstracts procedures codes; enters charges into EMR.
• Communicates documentation discrepancies with coding support staff and coding supervisor.
• Creates patient charts and enters demographics/insurance into EMR when applicable.
• Verifies data entry of patient demographics, insurance, and hospital charges for accuracy.
• Attaches insurance and authorizations to patient encounters in EMR.
