Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Physician Billing (PB) Coding Auditor and Educator to audit records, provide education on CMS guidelines, and support the revenue cycle. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely coding, and collaboration with providers and internal teams.

A remote work arrangement is offered, with a strong focus on compliance and continuous learning. Required are 5+ years of physician coding experience, ICD-10 and CPT proficiency, and advanced E/M coding knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Physician Coding experience in a large multi-specialty group.
• Experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Knowledge of data reporting requirements and proficiency in computer skills.
• Advanced coding education and training with a strong foundation in E/M Coding.
• Proficiency in Google Suite: Sheets, Slides, Docs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform coding quality audits of records (outpatient, inpatient, procedures) to ensure accuracy and provide education.
• Create spreadsheets and summaries of audit findings.
• Assist providers and coding teams with coding inquiries.
• Clarify discrepancies in documentation and coding to expedite billing.
• Meet productivity and quality standards and participate in special projects.
