Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Physician Advisor to review payor peer-to-peer cases, assess documentation, and advise on authorization appropriateness. You will work remotely with clinical teams to ensure compliant revenue and high-quality patient care.

The role requires MD/DO licensure and at least 3 years of post-residency clinical experience, with strong independent work skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO medical licensure.
• Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience post-residency completion.

Responsibilities

• Address authorization requests and assess documentation and clinical criteria.
• Review and respond to payor and customer promptly.
• Engage with payor medical directors to discuss authorization status.
• Provide written analysis and case reviews across multiple specialties.
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff to resolve documentation and utilization issues.
