Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Physician Advisor to help client facilities navigate compliant revenue by reviewing payor peer-to-peer cases and advising on authorization, with strong clinical knowledge across multiple areas.

This remote US-based role requires active MD or DO licensure, a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-residency, and proficiency with basic computer skills. The base pay range is $150,075 - $199,070 per year, and you may participate in our annual bonus plan at 10%.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO medical licensure.
• Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience post-residency completion.

Responsibilities

• Review payor peer-to-peer cases to assess authorization requests.
• Evaluate documentation for admission status, procedure and care setting.
• Advise clients on appropriateness of requests based on available documentation.
• Discuss cases with payor medical directors.
• Provide written analysis and perform case reviews across multiple specialties.
• Serve as clinical resource to medical and case management staff to resolve documentation and utilization issues.
