Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Physician Advisor to help client facilities navigate compliant revenue by reviewing payor peer-to-peer cases. You will assess denied authorizations and ensure documentation supports admission status, procedure, and care setting requested.

Strong clinical knowledge across multiple areas is required, plus the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment. This remote role offers scheduled hours and an annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO medical licensure.
• Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience post-residency.

Responsibilities

• Review payor authorization requests and ensure documentation sufficiency.
• Engage with payor physicians and medical directors on case determinations.
• Provide written analysis of cases and discuss outcomes with clients.
• Meet quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Work with pre-scheduled hours created about 30 days in advance.
