Job summary

Enumerate is seeking a PHP & React Software Engineer to modernize our core product and payments platform. You will build mobile functionality in React Native while keeping existing web apps stable for customers.

This remote role requires LATAM location and collaboration with Product, QA, and Support to ship features end-to-end, debug production issues, and drive incremental improvements across the stack.

Qualifications

• Proven PHP engineer delivering production software.
• Hands-on React Native experience with apps on App Store / Google Play.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Debugging and fixing issues in large or legacy codebases.
• SQL and relational DB knowledge.
• Git, CI/CD and automated testing familiarity.
• Remote work capability and independence.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools daily.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the new React Native mobile app from setup through first release.
• Build and extend the PHP APIs and services powering it.
• Define how the mobile app integrates with existing systems.
• Establish patterns and conventions for mobile development.
• Own features end-to-end from design to release.
• Modernize patterns in the existing codebase as new work touches them.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve bugs in a vanilla PHP app.
• Debug complex issues across application logic, database interactions, and integrations.
• Deliver safe, well-tested fixes with minimal regression risk.
• Analyze logs and monitoring data to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with QA and Support to reproduce issues.
• Assist with performance improvements and reliability enhancements.
• Code reviews and technical discussions.
• Apply standards for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development.
• Contribute incremental improvements to shared utilities.
