Job summary

Blossom, a U.S.-based fintech serving credit unions, seeks an Application/Production Support Engineer to monitor live transactional systems and triage incidents in a multi-region AWS/Docker environment.

You will read PHP code to locate root causes, run SQL queries against production replicas, and coordinate with development and infra teams, delivering clear incident notes and on-call coverage in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience supporting live transactional systems.
• Hands-on incident triage, reading logs, and querying databases.
• Experience in Linux/AWS environments with a containerized stack (Docker).
• Familiarity with ISO 20022 payments/core-banking concepts is a plus.
• Strong communication in English and Spanish; on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support live production systems to ensure uptime.
• Perform initial incident triage and classify by severity and impact.
• Investigate incidents via logs, SQL queries, and end-to-end tracing.
• Read procedural PHP code to locate root cause without modifications.
• Escalate to development teams with clear technical context.
• Document incidents with root cause, resolution steps, and follow-up actions.
• Create and maintain runbooks and knowledge articles.
• Query data in PostgreSQL to support investigations.
• Navigate multi-region AWS (us-east-2 / us-west-2) including ECS, ALB, RDS.
