PsiQuantum is hiring a Photonic Model Integrator for the Palo Alto area with remote options. The role focuses on building physics-based models for quantum photonic components, maintaining model libraries, and developing simulation pipelines within the Photonics Integration team.

You will collaborate with PDK engineers, apply advanced EM tools, and contribute to reproducible design-to-simulation workflows in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in integrated photonics.
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Experience with photonic layout tools (KLayout, Cadence Virtuoso) and EM solvers (Lumerical FDTD/MODE, HFSS, CST, Tidy3D).
• Familiarity with circuit simulators (SPICE, INTERCONNECT, Caphe, PhotonForge).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to communicate with varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently and deliver on schedule; track record of impactful results.
• Demonstrated interest in quantum computing and startup environments.

Responsabilités

• Develop physics-based models of photonic components for quantum circuit simulations.
