Job summary

PsiQuantum is building a general-purpose silicon photonic quantum computer to tackle core challenges in quantum computing. The Photonic Model Integrator will develop and maintain a library of photonic component and circuit models, bridging photonic design, CAD infrastructure, and EM modeling to ensure consistent, automatable simulations.

The role sits at the intersection of circuit design, modeling, and simulation tools, requiring collaboration with PDK engineers and industry partners.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in integrated photonics.
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Experience with photonic layout tools and EM solvers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop physics-based models of photonic components for quantum circuit simulations.
• Build and maintain a library of photonic component models.
• Develop component- and circuit-simulation tools and pipelines.
• Improve the reproducibility of design-to-simulation workflows.
• Collaborate with PDK engineers to maintain model links to process design kits.
