Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Worcester, MA. The role supports the Prescription department, with on-site training in Worcester and optional remote work after onboarding. Schedule is 38.75 hours per week, Monday–Friday with rotating shifts between 7:30am and 7pm.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, interacting with patients and providers, and using Epic. Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED, active MA Pharmacy Technician license, and 1+ year

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of retail Pharmacy Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as directed by the prescription supervisor.
• Interacts professionally with location departments, patients, prescribers, payors and pharmacies.
• Develops proficiency in Epic.
• Greets patients by phone to ensure prompt service.
• Enters prescription information and documents in Epic.
• Reviews and processes e-prescriptions, faxed prescriptions and renewals.
• Obtains necessary prior authorizations when required.
• Maintains prescription pool and in-basket management.

Education

Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license (active and unrestricted)

National PTCB Certification or NHA certified
