Job summary

Bryan University is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor for a remote, online teaching role. The instructor will support Bryan University’s mission by delivering assigned courses, leveraging recent pharmacy technician experience, and enabling student growth in an online environment.

Previous teaching is a plus but not required; candidates should have PTCB certification and strong communication skills to engage students in virtual sessions and maintain comprehensive course records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
• PTCB Certification required
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding a plus)
• Previous online teaching experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills in both an individual and group setting
• Work effectively as a team member to ensure that departmental goals are met
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program
• Host weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course
• Maintain a flexible schedule that accommodates office hours and 1:1 meetings to provide an excellent student experience
• Provide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects
• Conduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk students
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance and submit final grades in accordance with university policy
• Actively participate in meetings, training programs, and professional development as required
• Remain current with developments within the area of instructional responsibility
• Other duties as required by the faculty job description, SOPs, and other university policies
