Job Title: Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Description

As a Remote Pharmacy Technician, you will manage coverage determination requests and facilitate communication between providers, members, and the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) system. Your responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and prioritizing coverage determination requests from providers.
  • Approving requests based on criteria and entering decisions into the PBM system.
  • Notifying physicians, providers, and members of decisions.
  • Responding to inquiries regarding authorizations and online applications.
  • Referring requests for specialty drugs to delegated vendors or clients.
  • Contacting providers for additional information.
  • Maintaining accurate records of requests and decisions.
  • Fostering a culture of care, engagement, and recognition with clear outcomes.
Hard Skills
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and strong computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently remotely.
  • HS Diploma/GED or Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail pharmacy.
  • Prior authorization experience.
  • National Pharmacy Certification.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $20.00/hr.
